Terms & Conditions - the basics

Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: July 3, 2026
Fostering Student Growth, LLC

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services provided by Fostering Student Growth, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website or enrolling in tutoring services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Fostering Student Growth, LLC provides online academic tutoring and educational support services for K–8 students. Services are delivered virtually through platforms such as Google Meet and may include individualized instruction, assessments, progress monitoring, and supplemental academic resources.

Our services are designed to support, not replace, formal classroom instruction or school-based programs.

2. Enrollment & Parent/Guardian Responsibility

All services for minors must be requested and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Parents/guardians are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate student information

  • Ensuring consistent attendance and participation

  • Monitoring student engagement with tutoring services

  • Communicating relevant educational needs or concerns

We do not enter into agreements directly with minors.

3. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Square or other approved payment platforms.

By enrolling in services, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of booking or invoicing. Payments must be made in full and on time unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to pause or discontinue services for overdue accounts.

4. Scheduling & Cancellations

Tutoring sessions are scheduled in advance based on availability and reserved specifically for each student.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or requests to reschedule a session.

If a session is canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if a student does not attend a scheduled session (no-show), the full session fee will be charged.

This policy is in place because that time is reserved exclusively for your student and cannot typically be filled on short notice.

Exceptions may be made at the discretion of Fostering Student Growth, LLC in cases of emergency or unforeseen circumstances.

5. No Guarantees

While we are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based instruction, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Grade improvements

  • Standardized test scores

  • Reading or math level advancement

  • School placement or academic program eligibility

Student progress depends on multiple factors, including attendance, effort, practice, school instruction, and individual learning differences.

6. Technology Requirements

Clients are responsible for ensuring access to:

  • A stable internet connection

  • A compatible device with audio/video capability

  • Access to Google Meet or other required platforms

We are not responsible for technical issues on the client’s end that may interfere with sessions.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Fostering Student Growth, LLC—including worksheets, lesson content, assessments, digital resources, and branding—are the intellectual property of the Company unless otherwise stated.

Materials are for personal educational use only and may not be copied, shared, resold, or redistributed without written permission.

8. Confidentiality

We maintain confidentiality regarding student academic information. Educational data shared with us is used solely for instructional purposes and is not shared with third parties except as required by law or with parental consent.

9. Third-Party Services

We use third-party platforms such as Square for payment processing and Google Meet for virtual instruction. These platforms operate independently and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their services or policies.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fostering Student Growth, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.

Our total liability for any claim related to services provided shall not exceed the amount paid for those services.

11. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at our discretion, including in cases of:

  • Non-payment

  • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior

  • Repeated scheduling violations

  • Breakdown in communication that prevents effective instruction

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised Effective Date.
